My Philosophy
I am a compassionate non-diet dietitian dedicated to guiding you towards food and body freedom. I chose the name Savored Journey because I believe in moving my clients away from fads and restrictive diets that keep you focused on an arbitrary destination such as a specific weight or aesthetic and focusing instead on finding true satisfaction in the journey of improving health outcomes. I'm also super passionate about endurance sports and teaching all levels of athletes how to fuel their bodies to maximize performance. I would be honored to help you embrace a sustainable approach to nutrition that nourishes both your body and soul.
Meet Sophia
Hey there! I've been a Registered Dietitian for 7 years and have worked in multiple settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitative, and an outpatient eating disorders clinic. My passion for helping people heal their relationship with food and their bodies was born after a decade long personal battle with disordered eating and compulsive exercise patterns. Now that I am walking in freedom from the bondage of diet culture and fully embracing body acceptance (all while still chasing performance goals in endurance sports), it is my deepest joy to show others the path into a more satisfying and fulfilling health journey.

In my personal life, I am married to a lumberjack entrepreneur and have two wild kiddos that forever keep me on my toes. I am obsessed with ultra trail running/hiking and daydream about living in the mountains someday. Currently tackling the Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Switzerland and Italy (and eating all the delicious food along the way) is at the top of my bucket list.
My Services
Insurance Now Accepted!
I am currently in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare (Cigna coming soon!). Many insurance companies cover preventative services up to 100% - meaning you can see me for 1:1 nutrition services with no out of pocket cost to you! If you owe a co-pay or deductible, I will automatically bill your card on file. If I am out of network with your insurance and for those without insurance, I offer a reduced cash pay rate of $150 for an Initial Consult and $120 for a Follow Up. I can provide you with a super bill to give to your insurance for possible reimbursement. It is the client's responsibility to verify insurance coverage before the first appointment. You can do this by calling the number listed on the back of your insurance card and provide them with the following codes - Nutrition Counseling and Education (97802 and 97803).
